All County Roofing Process

As a trusted roofing company in New Jersey for 40+ years, many homeowners in the Garden State turn to All County Exteriors, LLC when their homes need anything from annual roof maintenance to a new roof installation. But it isn't uncommon for people to delay scheduling a much-needed roofing service due to concerns around budgeting or timelines, or a general sense of not knowing what to expect.

We're here to help clear up any myths, miscommunications and more about how roofing companies operate, and to offer insight into what will happen each step of the way. No matter what service you need, most contractors will adhere to the following 5-step roofing process while completing your project.

1. Initial Call with Customer

The first step of any roofing service begins when the customer calls in. This is where you get to explain what's going on with your roof, voice any concerns or preferences, and hear about different options that the contractor can offer.

At All County Exteriors, this step is about more than just conveying information—this is where we begin building a relationship, so it's important to us to take our time, listen, and offer as many explanations as needed to put the customer's mind at ease.

2. On-Site Roofing Inspection

Next up, your roofer will schedule a time to come to your house and complete an inspection. This is how they determine what service your roof will need moving forward, so they'll look for any and all signs of damage, decay or deterioration. This process takes about an hour depending on the size and scope of the home. Your New Jersey roofing contractor will examine each component of your roof, including:

  • Shingles or Tiles
  • Flashing
  • Underlayment
  • Decking
  • Gutters & Downspouts
  • Attic
  • Vents & Skylights

3. Service Estimate & Scheduling

After the inspection, your roofer should be able to give you an accurate price estimate on the services they'll provide. All County Exteriors gives free, no-obligation estimates so that our customers can make the best decision for their homes before we move forward.

If possible, we give our customers multiple options so they can select a solution that best fits their budget, time constraints and more. This is also the phase of the process where we select a date to begin service.

4. Roof Installation or Repairs

Next, your roofer will show up with a team on the agreed-upon day to begin your roof replacement, installation, repairs or other service. Depending on what you're getting done and the size of your home, this could take anywhere from 1—3 days from beginning to end. This phase of the roofing process includes aspects like:

  • Setting Up Worksite
  • Tearing Off Old Materials
  • Installing New Materials
  • Cleaning Up Worksite

5. Walk-Through with Customer

The entire roofing process will wrap up when your roofer brings you outside to inspect their workmanship and your new roof. Roof installations and repairs are significant investments, so All Count Exteriors always wants to provide our customers with a chance to ask questions and make sure they're satisfied with the end result.
