ENTRY PORTICO REPLACEMENT - Project Description:
This Tudor style home had a rounded arch portico entrance. The surface was finished in T-111 panels that we stained to a dark finish. The portico covered the door entrance but did not extend to blend across the front the home.
The existing porch/portico was completely removed. This included the demolition of the stone porch platform and steps. All the siding and stucco were also removed.
A new roof was built that extends from the garages on the left all the way to the far right side of the home. This not only creates a large porch area, but continuing the roof line to the far right side of the home it creates an architectural break line for the window and siding implementation.
This allows for the implementation of the fine detail shown in the photos to the right.
The stone deck surface was replaced with new AZEK® Procell decking. Also, the original stucco surface finish was replaced with Coronado® cultured stone in Minnesota Fieldstone color and style.
The new wood finish front door with side panels was also installed. These combined elements in the new entry to this home are a substantial part of the complete transformation of this home.
Changes Include:
- Demolition of the existing porch, including masonry stairs and platform
- New treated lumber framed porch for full span, from cheek wall to cheek wall
- Installation of Timberline 30 Cedar Blend roof shingles to match existing roof
- New Portico deck of AZEK® ProCell decking
- Installation of Coronado® cultured stone in Minnesota Fieldstone color and style to replace previous stucco
- Installation of four 10" Round Permacast Colums by HB&G
