This large recent home in Tinton Falls had a stucco facade with matching grey siding on the sides and back of the home. Solid double front entry doors with a small transom overhead caused the foyer to be dark.

The existing color scheme of grey and black with the red doors did not live up to the graceful home inside. And the existing entry was insufficient. Overall, this home was waiting for an exterior makeover to be completely transformed with a more welcoming appearance.

The existing grey stucco was removed, as was the grey vinyl siding on the sides and at rear. The siding was replaced with cedar-look no maintenance vinyl shakes in front and matching lap siding on the sides and back. With the white corner boards, window headers and trim as an accent to the rich creamy color, the look of the home was invigorated. The keystones in the headers accent windows on the second floor of the home and add traditional detail. The new white corner boards and crisp white trim make the warm, inviting color stand out.

In addition, the home had a small, exposed front entry porch, which meant that guests were balancing on the steps - and getting soaked in inclement weather. A new porch was constructed with very traditional round porch columns to make sitting outdoors a pleasure and to create a welcoming entry. The porch ceiling was finished in traditional-look beadboard, in a no-maintenance white vinyl product -- all the look of tradition with no maintenance. This theme is repeated in the low maintenance trim around the two half-round windows in upstairs foyer and the garage wing.
